Well the inevitable has happened and I have received my 2nd (in 3 years) negative feedback from a buyer. To be completely honest I had to wait a day before I was calm enough to write about it. My feelings are hurt and I am angry. I am not a perfect EBay seller or even the best EBay seller but what I am is reasonable, polite and quite happy to work with buyers who are dissatisfied.
This brings me to myschatz2007, who left me negative feedback in all caps (I believe this is universally excepted as yelling in print) with lots of exclamation points. The gist of it was that I was cheap because I used a Cheez-It box to ship the item in. I confess I am guilty as charged. I am a recycler / upcycler as you can see from many of my other posts. At any rate due to my "inferior" packing the item was damaged. I fully understand that at this point the buyer would have some dissatisfaction with their purchase.
What I don't understand is their need to be rude and their unwillingness to let me try to fix the problem. In addition to not being the perfect EBay Seller I am also not a mind reader particularly across continental borders. Had I heard from this buyer I would have promptly refunded there payment with an apology.
So myschatz2007 here is what I really want to say to you. You are every EBay sellers nightmare. I looked at all the feedback you have left for other sellers. I am not the only one you slammed with your rude comments. You should learn some manners and common courtesy. If you were an EBay seller there is no doubt you would have a better appreciation for the communication portion of the EBay system. It is my experience that most sellers take their business seriously and really want their customers to be happy. Many like me would have sent a refund it's actually a win / win situation. You just have to give them the chance.
